My husband talked to his neurologist today. They still aren't sure what is wrong with him. They are trying to rule out meningiomas of both his optic nerves. That was their initial diagnosis.

He has to have all the CT scans redone...chest and head. They want another lumbar puncture this wednesday too...his fave..NOT!!

It sounds like they are checking for sarcoidosis now. It's hard to know when the info goes from the doc to my husband then to me. *grin*

Sarcoidosis would make sense from some of my husbands symptoms and what they are looking for. It's an autoimmune disease. Only fatal 5% of the time.

They are still saying there is a small chance he could have ACC like me only in his brain...If he did it would be the most amazing thing they'd ever seen. ACC is relatively rare...so for a husband and wife both to have it would be incredible.

I don't think it's very likely. Especially in light of his other symptoms. It would be a very bad thing...people with ACC of the brain do not do well.

Hard to believe we could both be having such serious medical problems at the same time. I guess we should be glad my treatment is over now. I just have to wait and see. Chest xray's every 6mos....that kinda thing. When i die from something else ...they will know they cured me...ha!!

So now we focus on my husband again. We've done so much waiting the last 18mos. First with his MS...then my cancer and now this...i just can't get worked up over not knowing what we are dealing with. It will be easier once we know though. It is always a relief regardless of how bad the news is.
