Well life is weird. A good friend phoned the other day who i used to work with. I wasn't really in the mood to talk cause it was the same day i found out my hubby had the tumors. Her and her hubby had been a big help to me when i was diagnosed with cancer. She's a nurse and he is a doc and they helped me find a great head/neck surgeon here in town among other things. She was just checkin up on me and had no idea ken had just been diagnosed with meningiomas of the optic nerves. So i told her the bad news and of course she wanted to know if there was anything they could do. I was so emotionally flat i just sorta said i didn't know but i didn't think so. Well her hubby has just quit his private practise to go into radiology and so he was present when hubby's neurologist presented my hubby's case at grand rounds yesterday. So not only was he able to tell us everything they discussed but he was able to give them all sorts of info on my hubby because he was my hubby's family doc for years!! Amazing how some things workout sometimes. So now i don't feel quite so like the whole world sux..*grin*

Oh the other bizarre thing about all this ... he told them all about my cancer as well and asked them what the chances are of my hubby having the same cancer as me. Well it is highly unlikely but there is a small chance he could have the same cancer...which would be the most incredible occurance ever because this cancer is rather rare and the chances of a husband and wife having this same cancer is like a trillion to one. Hopefully that isn't the case because this is a very bad cancer to get in your head.
